Rok Žitko: Slovenia in International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025

This year marks the centenary of the beginning of the development of modern quantum theory, which has provided definitive answers to some of the key questions of classical physics since the end of the 19th century, such as the correct description of the radiation of bodies at high temperatures, ionisation by light (photoelectric phenomena), the line spectra of the radiation of atoms and the specific heat of solids at low temperatures.
